My Actifit Report Card: February 17 2025

Traveling back to Trang Province

Today, I finished my brother's cremation yesterday evening. Last night, I stayed in Bangkok for another night and made an appointment with my relatives that we would travel back home to Trang Province at 4:00 AM tomorrow. I woke up at 3:30 AM by setting my alarm clock. When I got up from bed, I prepared to exercise in my room by doing aerobics and light exercise. At 4:00 AM, I walked to the lower floor of the apartment, which is the 3rd and 1st floors, to check on my relatives to see if they were ready to travel. In the end, my relatives had just woken up, so I postponed my departure to 5:00 AM. I went back to my room. Then I took a shower and got dressed to prepare for the trip. When it was time to meet in front of the apartment and leave Bangkok,

Rest stop

When we arrived at Cha-am, this is a rest stop for everyone to stop and eat. We stopped to eat here at a PTT gas station near Cha-am called Uncle Teng's Gas Station.

The highlight of this rest stop is the black figure of Uncle Teng standing on the sidewalk. And at souvenir shops, food shops
You will see Uncle Teng's puppets or shadow puppets standing as a clear identity.
I walked around taking pictures of the atmosphere around that area. In addition to the shops lined up on the sidewalk, there are also convenience stores like 7-Eleven
and a coffee shop Amazon. The Amazon coffee shop here is open 24 hours. I know the sign on the wall.
The inner zone is a restaurant selling both made-to-order food and rice with curry.
My relatives and I chose to have breakfast at this shop. It is a rice with curry shop, including made-to-order food such as noodles, pork leg rice, red pork rice, crispy pork rice. Here, they serve free chili paste with vegetables, beautifully arranged, arranged on the table with chili paste and fish sauce, making those who come across it and making the rice with curry look very delicious. This is the highlight of the rice with curry shop. When customers see the vegetables in the middle of the shop, I believe that every customer who comes in, including me, will definitely choose to eat rice with curry. And I ordered rice with curry.
Today, my menu is pork chili paste and another menu is stir-fried vegetables. Then the staff told me that I could go and get the vegetables and get the chili paste myself. I can serve myself. The shop also provides free ice and plain water is sold on the table. When I ate, I felt that the taste was very different from southern food because southern food has a unique taste, which is a strong and rich taste. The taste of the food here is lighter than the southern food, not too spicy. After finishing eating, I walked to the souvenir area to buy some desserts for my relatives to eat. There are many desserts in this area, but I like Khanom Krok, which is an ancient Thai dessert.
So I bought Khanom Krok for my relatives to try. It is Khanom Krok with many fillings, 30 baht per box. I bought 3 boxes. Then I took my relatives to try the delicious taste of Khanom Krok here.
Before leaving, I walked to the souvenir shop. In this area, there is a souvenir shop inside the shop. Or in the zone inside the shop, there are many types of desserts and souvenirs to choose from, such as cakes, many types of ancient desserts. I walked around the shop and saw many souvenirs worth buying. Salted fish, pickled shellfish, fermented fish, shellfish soaked in fish sauce, coconut sugar, and various herbs. Or there are many types of fabrics to choose from, such as sarongs or towels. I bought cakes to give to my family at home. And buy 2-3 more Thai desserts, including ancient herbal medicine. Mom finished buying souvenirs.
I walked out of the souvenir shop.
Before getting in the car, I bought coffee and three-flavor squid to eat on the way.
