Glorious Goodwood - Day 5 - The Finale part 2

The shutters are down on another fabulous 5 days of racing at Glorious Goodwood for another year and to finish this short series of post I'm rounding up yesterday's results from our 7 bets.

So, we end the festival the same way started with a winner and a place, finishing with a modest profit of £0.33.
The next big meeting takes place at York, with The Yorkshire Ebor Festival running from Wed 17 Aug - Sat 20 Aug. And i'll be back with some tips for that meeting.

Thanks Steve, was a relief to get that one and finish slightly up, but that's horse racing - the ultimate gamble i think. That's why i try with a specific strategy, and go with horses that fit that. Sometimes makes it easier than pouring thorugh reams of stats and form guides that are still no guarantee to success. That's why i do the follow the tipster strategy too - tipster does all the hard work and i back his pick.
A good strategy Steve. Do you follow a daily nap and/or value bet?
The racing post have a tipster competition with about 50 plus tipsters involved mostly from local and national newspapers. They give a daily NAP, and my strategy involves using the pick from whoever is top of the table that day. The flat season comp began in May and ends October I think, and the current leader is showing a £40 profit on a £1 stake at SP, about £19 ahead of the next guy, so sometimes I get better odds than is advised when the list is published, and I'm only doing a £0.10 stake, but a couple of quid nonetheless which i think is pretty good for £0.10 a time. The tipster at the bottom of the table is down £65 with huge losing streaks of 18 and 13 in a row.
