The Blues Thumping

There is nothing great about playing in the conference league. I thought about it and while we might be the first ever team in history to win all European trophies, wining the conference league is not particularly something worth bragging about. Manchester City, Real Madrid, or Barcelona will almost likely never win this trophy and not because they are not good enough, but because it's near impossible that they don't qualify and play the champions League every year which is where Chelsea football club belongs. But, I will take it. Last time we won a major trophy was in 2021, during Tomas Tuchels time where we won the super cup and FIFA world club cup. Today we faced a team far away in the Armenian Premier league.

In a game that had the blues as very firm favourite to completely outclass their opponent, the result was not much of a surprise. Chelsea set a record for the highest win ever recorded in the Uefa Conference League since it's inception. The blues quickly took an early lead thanks to Tosin Adarabioyo's header before Marc Guiu capitalized on a defensive error. With six different scorers today, Chelsea recorded their highest victory since 2012 when they thrashed Aston Villa with the same scoreline. The blues are back in action again on Sunday against the gunners as they look to pick up form from their previous EPL results. A great day at the office for Enzo Maresca and his boys.
