Wow; just wow. We're only just fifteen games in and we already have a contender for the best game of the season. Amazing. This weekends gameweek was electric, absorbing, enthralling and every other adjective that fits, haha. We had some shocking results and some captivating ones. The first game of the weekend was supposed to be at Goddison park, between Everton and Liverpool but the game was postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions. Let's take a look at some of the other key games.

Crystal Palace Vs Manchester City - 2 - 2

  • An absolute cinema at Selhurst park. After an abysmal run which saw Pep Guradiola's team go seven game without a win. The reigning champions were finally on the wining side in gameweek 14, defeating Nothingham Forest, three goals to nothing. The Citizens were hoping to ride on that form as they visited the eagles, but it was not the case. Oliver Gasners side had other plans as they struck early in the game, before an Erling Haaland equalizer. The game ended two goals apiece, with Rico Lewis seeing red after a second yellow, and also on the score sheet. A good result for Palace but City would be kicking themselves as they drop eight points adrift league leaders Liverpool who still have a game in hand.

  • Manchester United Vs Nothingham Forest - 2 - 3

  • It was familiar feeling for Manchester United's faithfuls as their team suffered another defeat to make it two in a row in the league. In a game where they seemed heavy favourites, Reuben Amorim's side fell behind just two minutes into the game from a corner kick. It looked like it was just a blip for the Red Devils as Rasmus Hojlund netted the equalizer eighteen minutes into the game, but it was not the case as Gibbs White and Chris Wood helped Nuno Espirito's men to three points. The later becoming to highest scoring Forest in the top flight.

Fulham Vs Arsenal - 1 - 1

  • In a game where it looked like the gunners would struggle, and so it seemed. Mikel Arteta's men couldn't win against Fulham last season and were hoping to cast the ghost of last season away, but it wasn't to be the case. Eleven minutes into the game Jimenez gave Marco Silva's side the lead with a well drilled finish. Albeit, William Saliba was able to get an equalizer early on in the second half, the gunners dropped points again this season, as a late Bukayo Saka header was disallowed for offside.

  • Tottenham Vs Chelsea - 3 - 4

  • A seven goal thriller at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. It was an incredibly bright start for Ange's team as they snatched an early lead five minutes into the game thanks to an uncharacteristic slip from Marc Cucurella, which saw Brennan Johnson whip in a fine cross and Dominic Solanke poke it past the keeper. Six minutes later, the host doubled their lead, again from a Marc Cucurella slip as Dejan Kulusevski stroke a well placed shot past scrambling Robert Sanchez. It looked like was going to be a comfortable evening for Spurs but Chelsea had other plans. Six minutes later Jason Sancho curled in a brilliant strike from the left hand side to give the visitors a lifeline. Later into the second half, Cole Palmer netted two penalties and Enzo Fernandez also had his say before a late strike from Son halfed the deficit and made the scoreline more respectable. WOW. What a game it was. Characterized by lots of mistakes and miss touches, fans were treated to premium entertainment. Albeit with a game in hand for Liverpool, Chelsea are now just four points behind.

What a gameweek it was. Headaches for some, delight for others. Fans enjoyed premium entertainment as the biggest stars stood tall on the biggest stages. We still have a game tomorrow at London Stadium as West Ham welcome Wolves. Then we go to European football midweek and then at the weekend, we're back to League football. Good times. Thank you for reading. Cheers.
