EPL GAMEWEEK 24 - Key Results

Matchweek 24 came with all it's drama and then to make it even more epic, it was during transfer deadline period so football fans all over the world had all the fun and enjoyed all the drama. The results from matchweek 24 was filled with so much surprises and lots of talking points. We had some big results, and as usual, some shockers. Not sure we can even call them that again even as we are so used to it, Xd. So let's dive into the results and analyze them, and also check if my predictions were spot on, wink.
Bournemouth Vs Liverpool - 0-2
The Reds keep marching on as they grind out another hardfought three points at the vitality stadium. It was a tight encounter for most part of the game, but it all came down to individual brilliance as league's top scorer Mo Salah netted twice, one from the penalty spot, to take all three points for Liverpool and ensure the Reds maintain their six points gap at the summit. That takes the Egyptians' tally to 21 goals already this season. It was the first defeat for the Cherries after thirteen games. I predicted a two - one victory for liverpool; not too far off.
Manchester United Vs Crystal Palace - 0-2
Another disappointing showing by the Red Devils again as they suffered a two nil defeat to a resilient Eagles to take their tally to eleven loses this season already. United had majority of the ball but were unable to capitalize on it. It was a Jean-Phillipe Mateta show, as the french man scored twice. The win means the Eagles leapfrog United to 12th place, while United drop to 13th place on the table. It's domestic cup responsibilities up next for both team. I predicted a tight one all draw, but I'd say I was quite off the mark with this one, xD.
What a week we had. I got one of four correct, not bad. It's domestic cup duties for most later this weekend, before we get back to league football. Thank you for reading. What do you make of the games?
Arsenal Vs Manchester City - 5-1
Now this was one hell of a game. An enthralling game at the Emirates Stadium saw Arteta and his boys thrash city five goals to one. It was a five star showing from the gunners as they netted very early to make a statement of intent towards the league leaders liverpool, but not long after the break, Erling Haaland netted a looping header to take his EPL goal tally to nineteen. From there onwards, it was a flurry from the gunners as two teenage sensations, Nwaneri and Lewis Skelly got on the score sheet, including Havertz and Thomas Partey. The gunners continue to mount pressure on Liverpool as it continues to look like an epic title battle. I was also way of the mark with my one goal apiece prediction.
Chelsea Vs West Ham - 2-1
It was an unhappy return to stamford bridge for Graham Potter as his team suffered defeat after taking the lead in the first half. Jarrod Bowen pounced on a defensive back pass from Colwill to slot a fine finish past Jorgensen just before halftime. It was Enzo Maresca's substitute that made the difference for the blues as Neto finished off his own cross after an earlier shot was blocked. Later in the 74th minute, Cole Palmers left footed strike deflected of Aaron Wan-bissaka to loop past Areola and complete the comeback. The victory means Chelsea climb back to top four, four points behind Nottingham Forest. My prediction was spot on this time, haha.
