Oh my days. Yeah, that's the exact way I felt after yesterday's result. I was going to write this post yesterday, and review the results plus my not-so-close predictions, haha. But it was pretty late and I decided to do it today. Yesterday's game was captivating, the weekends game was electric and surprising, the game week was absolute cinema. Welcome to today's EPL football results review. Let's dive in.

Arsenal Vs Everton - 0 - 0

  • Sean Dyche's masterclass they called it. Everton held the gunners to a goal less draw courtesy of Jordan Pickfords heroics. In a game that was completely one sided, the gunners were unable to find a way past the English shot stopper who has five saves in the game, as they dropped points yet again. Arsenal had a total thirteen shots, five of which were on target, in stark contrast to the Toffees two shots and none on target. The result at the Emirates now means, Arteta's men are still six points behind league leaders, Liverpool, who still have a game in hand.

Liverpool Vs Fulham - 2 - 2

  • An epic battle at Anfield which saw the Reds take their unbeaten run to nineteen games in all competition, thanks to an eighty sixth minute strike from substitute, Diogo Jota. The Portuguese showed his clinical acumen in front of goal, after great footwork and placing the ball neatly past Leno. It was the cottagers who struck first, thanks to a tidy finish from Pereira. Liverpool got a deserved equalizer as goal scorer turned provider, Mohammed Salah, teed up Cody Gakpo early on in the second half to draw the game level. Later on in the game, Fulham regained the lead and they looked to take all three points, but Arne Slot still had some trick up his sleeves. Diogo Jota grabbed a last minute equalizer to mark his return from the sidelines. The result means Arne Slots boys are just two points above second place, albeit with a game in hand.

Manchester City Vs Manchester United - 1 - 2

  • It was more woes for Pep Guradiola and his team as they suffered yet another loss this season. Two more than they recorded for the whole of last season; incredible. Josko Gvardiol broke the dreadlock at the thirty sixth minute. The Croatian planted a fine header past Onana. Reuben Amorim seemed to have worked his magic with his half-time team talk as United showed their comeback sprit as they grabbed all three points late on in the game, as Amad Diallo won a penalty in the eighty eight minute, which was neatly dispatched by Bruno Fernandes before Diallo himself, won the game in the ninetieth minute. At the moment, Manchester is well and truly red.

Chelsea Vs Brentford - 2 - 1

  • The blues finally got the better of Brentford at Stamford Bridge last night with a two - one win, courtesy goals from Cucurella and Jackson. Chelsea were winless in the last five meetings against the Bees, loosing three of those games. Three of those games coming at the Bridge, so it was surely going to be a tough test for Enzo Maresca and his team. The blues dominated the game in the early stages putting in more crosses than they have in any other games this season. One of them finally paid off in the later stages of the first half as Noni Madueke found Marc Cucurella, who steered in a fine header into the bottom left corner. The blues finally found some comfort in the eightieth minute after a fine finish from Nicolas Jackson who was isolated against Ethan Pinnock. Late on in the ninetieth minute, Bryan Mbeumo got his tenth goal of the season as he slotted a fine finish between the legs of Robert Sanchez. It was a late scare for the blues as they saw out a nervy last few minutes, with Cucurella seeing red, after receiving a second yellow card for an after game scuffle. A beautiful game of football.
