With club football ended a few weeks ago with the champions league final, I've lost interest in a lot of things, and my weekends have been completely shambolic like Manchester United's defending, XD. I'm not very keen on national football but I'd have to make do. I've been following the UEFA nations League for a bit now. Although there has been some drama, and some wonderful me of football, but club football still stands out for numerous obvious reasons. Well, today I after seeing the exciting fixtures, especiallyFrance vs Croatia, I decided I was going to see the game as it looked like a good game, and it was.

What a game that was. Streaming the game was totally worth it. The drama, the pace, the excitement, everything. After wining the inaugural season last time out, it's all but certain that France would not be able to retain their title after a winless four game run. A lose against Denmark, draw against Austria and Croatia and another lose against the later means France are now out of the run-in for first place in the group. It's only a few months to the world cup, this must be pretty worrying for the defending world champions and Deschamps men. A fifth minute penalty from the skipper, Luka Modric separated the two teams. Let's look at some key points in and after the game in this historical Croatian win.
KEY POINTS
In the history of Croatia, they have never beaten France, well, up until today. In the ten meetings between the nations, France win six of them with three draws and of course today's win goes to the Croatians this time.
Le blues were dominant for major part of the game while amassing seventeen shots but none could get past the brilliant Ivusic.
France have an insane depth of squad. With the likes of Griezman, Coman, Ben-Yedder and other European stars only able to make bench in this star studded team.
Los Blancos new acquisition seems to be a real asset. Aurelian Tchouameni only came on in the forty-sixth minute and was an instant impact, with a sofa score rating of 7.1. His brilliant defensive block in the box to prevent the Croatians from getting a second was a real highlight.
Modric is timeless. The thirty-six year old only seem to age like fine wine. Apart from the obvious, getting the wining goal from the spot, he spear-headed this resilient and disciplined Croatia midfield along side Brozovic and my boy, Mateo Kovacic. A real caotain, a leader.
You'd expect a front three of Nkunku, Benzema and Mbappe to rip Croatia apart but it was not the case. They lacked the cutting edge to open up the rather compact defence. Mbappe got some decent opportunities while Nkunku and Benzema struggled to make any significant impact, the former, later subbed of mid way through the second half for a late Kingsley Coman cameo.
A beautiful game of football all round. As a neutral, I enjoyed that. Did you see the game? Share with me what you think. Till nect time. Cheers.

Yup 🤣🤣
Well deserved revenge
France is betting that what is happening now is just inaction on the part of the players in matches that are not important to them, before the World Cup.
But if this bet fails, France may be a new victim of being a world champion.
Not this year, no
