An Enthralling Manchester Derby, Elsewhere Brighton Compound Liverpool Woes

Today we witnessed two in-form sides battle it out, and we saw the premier league title race blown wide open. Manchester United was just coming back from an 8-game winning run, and Manchester City, albeit not at their very best form after suffering defeat at Southampton in the EFL cup just four days ago, still defeated Chelsea by four goals to nothing before then in the FA cup. With Chelsea being shit all season, I was yearning to see some good football, so I went to see the derby, and boy it was amazing. Ten Hag's Manchester united are red hot at the moment. They started the game very well, pinning City to their own half. Tactically, they completely took the sting out of Manchester City. Fred was able to marshal Kevin De Bryune all half. The second half started differently, with City trying to get a foothold in the game. A few moments after his introduction, Jack Grealish found the net from a pinpoint Kevin De Bryune's cross. You'd think City was cruising at this point but Bruno Fernandes had other plans. With a goal and an assist, he turned the game on its head. You could argue though that the first Manchester United goal was very controversial, but still, credit to them. A truly entertaining game.

Liverpool is having one of their worst seasons so far. They sit in the ninth position with Chelsea, maybe even worse, right below them. Brighton was at their finest form, with a lot of lovely passes here and there. They cut through Liverpool's defense way too easily. The recruitment of Cody Gakpo seems to not help matters at the moment as the new attacker is struggling to settle in. With all the injury woes, Jurgen Klopp would be hoping the attacker gets back to speed as soon as possible. Not great times at the Merseyside now. Chelsea play Crystal Palace tomorrow and one can only wonder what is in store. Thank you for reading.

I didn't expect City to lose today but it happened, Manchester United did a great job on the field, never lost hope and got the win, Manchester United may become impossible to beat in the coming weeks if they keep this form up, well let see how it goes for them this season.
