Giants seek Daniel Jones with fervor
They decided to part ways with tight end Darren Waller in free agency and reunited Garoppolo and Meyers with offensive-minded coach Josh McDaniels. Waller is headed to New York and the Giants after being traded by the Raiders, whereas Carr landed with the Saints and New Orleans. For a team that is short on receiving options and just paid quarterback Daniel Jones $160 million over four years, Waller is a plus-savvy talent.
However the Giants have Daniel Bellinger a young promising receiving tight end, and Brian Daboll, an aging tight end, so Mike Kafka can't expect Waller to suddenly regain his Pro Bowl form and be effective in the range of tight ends Dawson Knox to Travis Kelce from their previous teams.
