Una linda idea para decorar tus lapiceros 💖.//A nice idea to decorate your pencils.(Esp-Eng)

Hello to all DIYHub friends! I send you a big hello on this beautiful sunny day. Summer is already here, and this time I want to share with you the decoration I made for a pencil holder. I had this project in mind for a while, but I didn't know how to decorate it. Then, I came up with the idea of giving it a cabin style, similar to those stone houses from the Middle Ages. So I got to work and prepared a creative decoration for the pencil holder. I hope you like this idea and that you are encouraged to join me in this fun craft.
One of the things I like the most is decorating and personalizing my objects, as well as experimenting with different combinations. On this occasion, I wanted to give a special touch to the can that I am going to use as a pencil holder, transforming it into a small medieval house. I was excited about the idea of creating a rustic and charming effect, but I came across a small obstacle: the most logical option was to glue stones on it, but I didn't have any small stones at hand. That's when a creative solution occurred to me. I remembered that I had saved the cardboard that the eggs come in. This cardboard has a unique texture that could simulate the appearance of stones. So I decided to try this alternative. Not only would it allow me to achieve the effect I was looking for, but it would also be a recycled project, since both the can and the egg carton are materials that we would normally throw away. When thinking about this craft, I realized that it is essential to make the most of the resources we have at home. Instead of buying new materials, we can give a second life to what we already own. This approach is not only more sustainable, but also stimulates our creativity and allows us to find innovative solutions.

With the egg carton in hand, I first cut the cardboard into small rock shapes. Then, I began gluing the pieces onto the can, making sure to cover the entire surface. After letting the glue dry thoroughly, I began painting with white paint, which gave the design a fresh, bright finish.

Once the white paint was dry, I started working on the grey. Since I didn't have any grey paint, I decided to combine white with black to achieve the tone I wanted. When I applied the grey paint to the cardboard, I was surprised to see the effect the can had; it really looked like it had a stone wall.

Next, I decided to add a vibrant touch to my creation. I chose an orange color for the door and window, as I thought that a dull color should be contrasted with a more vibrant tone. I took some pieces of orange popsicles and chopped some for the door and others for the window. With the wooden sticks, I made the window details and a small door handle on the door. Additionally, I used more wooden sticks to create a small fence to disguise a garden.

Once the paint was dry, I started adding small details to simulate flowers and plants. I used yellow and white paint to create small dots in various shapes and sizes, which gave the illusion that the house had a garden full of flowers. The key to achieving this effect was not to be too precise; at first glance, the dots looked like small flowers, which gave a cheerful and vibrant touch to the decoration. Finally, I waited for it to dry once more and that's when I started to add the details of the house: I added the door, the window, and the garden fence. With these last touches, I've finished this cute idea for decorating pencil holders.

I hope you liked it as much as I did; the truth is that this pencil holder turned out lovely. So, once it was done, I placed some of my materials, managing to have everything organized. This project not only allowed me to personalize my pencil holder, but it also gave me great satisfaction knowing that I was using recycled materials. I love sharing my ideas and I hope that this craft inspires others to explore their creativity and find ways to reuse what they have at home.
