Morning Run: Hop-a-long

I just finished a 6.971km running that lasted about 0hh:39mm:42ss !

I always check on the weather at this time of year. Last night was predicting rain for this morning, but it was just a bit misty, so off I went. I switched shoes to my On Cloudflow, but my right foot arch is still not right. It is not really painful, so I carried on, but opted not to do intervals.

It was yet another lap of Fairfield. You can clearly see from the graph that I got quicker as I went on. I always seem to need about ten minutes to warm up. I did not go all out for any records, but the pace was not too bad. I was slightly under my average for that route.

I was listening to the Cryptomaniacs podcast from @jongolson and @taskmaster4450. They cover some crypto apart from Hive, but it is an entertaining show. I learn about a few things from them.

Run free and stay well.

Nice job on your run. You are lucky to just have to worry about rain. We have been looking at temps in the -19 C range the past couple of mornings, so being outside is not ideal. I got home late last night so I chose to sleep in instead of exercising this morning. I will hit the grind again tomorrow!

That is a good podcast! The LEO AMA is really good too when they are able to do it.

I might think twice at -19C. I have seen -12C some mornings when I was leaving early for work in winter and I'm not sure it gets much colder. I could switch to an indoor workout if it gets bad.

You are really fast. The Hash House Harriers would probably love to have someone like you in their ranks. Is there one in your area?

Not that I know of. There are some running clubs around, but I haven't joined one yet.

Maybe your pace picked up after the crypto podcast was over and the heavy metal tunes kicked in! hahaha. Nice run you had. Looks like a little elevation change as well. Watch that foot! Don't hurt yourself by pushing it to far. 😁

I just tend to listen to podcasts when I am running. There are so many cool shows out there. I will run tomorrow, but will keep taking it steady. That route is up the biggest hill near home. It's a good workout.
