Morning Run: Plod plod
steevc just finished a 9.11km run, that lasted for 57 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 686.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
I have not run two days in a row in a while. I just felt I needed a run in my preparation for the 10k next weekend. I was feeling a bit stiff when I got up, but off I went.
It was quite grey today and windy too with a headwind on the first leg. I just kept plodding along. I did keep running all the way, but the pace is nothing special.
I saw a fair few runners, but I often do just before the race as more people decide they need some training. I just try to keep running all year. I have not been keeping up the distances I would hope for all this year and that accounts at least partly for my lack of pace and stamina. Getting older is a factor too.
I listened to The Rest is Politics and Cryptomaniacs today. I need to see what is going on at Hivefest in Mexico. I was at the last one in Amsterdam, but this was too far to travel. There are usually some announcements of updates and new projects. I have been on this blockchain for over seven years and logged a lot of runs on there that earn me something. They could easily cover the cost of my running in shoes and events.
Since I got back I have been up the road again to do a neighbour's chickens whilst they are away and cleaned out my own chickens. I have a gig with the band this afternoon, so need to get ready for that. It is a fairly busy weekend overall. Yesterday we were in Bedford as my mum celebrated seventy years since she started teaching dancing with some of her former pupils.

I've started running again after a bit of a break. Only got up to about 5k so far but expect to be getting up to about 8 or so soon. I would of course choose to do this at we get closer to winter, doh
Well if you can keep it up through winter then you are doing well, especially as it is so dark, wet and cold up your way. I know running is not for everyone, but it works for me.
Yeah, it can be hard. Methinks are often best. At least it is light then!
Hey! Steev. 9.11km in 57 is quite amazing. I'd rather walk quickly than running, yeah. I do more indoor running than outdoor running.
But, I guess outdoor running has many advantages over running indoors. Running outdoors in the morning and hearing the birds, seeing dogs being walked and other nature events is uplifting and gives me a huge psychological lift.
Yes, it is good for mental health too. I used to use a cross-trainer at home, but I prefer being out.
Ohh, yeah. Cross-trainer is good and it helps for weight loss too
Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.

This Weeks Leader Board(Top 5):
Running is an exercise that the entire body is involved in. To me it is one of the most important as every part of the body partakes in it.
You really did great I have never done beyond 4 kilometres. Hopefully I will try this one day
Running is something you just have to keep doing to get better. I've done it for a few years already.

I did not realize we had a strava to hive method.
It's been around for a while and works well.
Noted I stopped using the app a while ago but I might just start using it again.
Hm
I can see how determined you are to the 10K run next week
I hope you achieve it
Wao this place looks so beautiful.
