Morning Run: Storm coming
steevc just finished a 12.76km run, that lasted for 78 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 1054.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
Storm Ashley is hitting the UK. It will be worst in the north, but winds are getting up here and the Great South Run in Portsmouth has been called off. I was timekeeping at parkrun yesterday and a lot of that was in the rain. We still had over sixty people participating. It brightened up later, but today brought more rain and I got wet on my run. It was not particularly cold though.
I did a variant of my long loop through the villages. It is still nearly two weeks to Halloween, but some people already have their gardens decorated. I hope all those 'cobwebs' are biodegradable.
There were not too many people out there, but then the weather was not encouraging. I just plodded along with podcasts in my ears. My sister suggested Add to Playlist which builds a string of tunes with links between them. It is right up my street with lots of talk of how the music works and it covers a lot of genres. There are over eighty episodes for me to catch up with.
I have a session with the band this afternoon at a local rehearsal studio. We will be trying some jazz, so I have been learning how to use brushes on the drums.
