steevc just finished a 5.72km run, that lasted for 34 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 404.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
The day started with torrential rain. I needed my brolly when walking to the station, but it was easing off by the time I got to work. When I went out at lunch time it had mostly dried up. I did a similar loop to last week that ended up slightly quicker. Keep up the pace up the long hill is challenging. I did have a couple of short walks and a longer one when I was nearly back as I needed to cool down a bit. Even after a shower I was still sweating. It's not a great look for the office, but nobody complains.

Up at the lake the have a huge inflatable. You can pay to go on it, but I will pass on that.

It is due to get warmer again tomorrow, but I will next run on Thursday.

I listened to the last couple of episodes of Jon Ronson's Things Fell Apart podcast. It has been fascinating to hear the origins of some of the 'culture war' and conspiracy theory movements started. There was one about 'The Great Reset' that seems to be about misinterpreting various ideas for a better society. I guess when you think that 'the elite' are out to get us then everything looks suspicious. There are enough real problems in the world to worry about without making up more.

Run free!

I was thinking that summer was always hot all through and there will be no form of rain but it’s like I’m wrong
Right?

Our 'summer' has been very mixed. I think it is a bad sign of things to come...

I was on the treadmill this morning. It was just too hot outside lately. We had a nice weekend, but of course we were out of town!

I have to get out when I can and I've been fairly lucky with the weather. Have to keep up the routine.

I hear you! I am on a disc golf league this summer and I am running out of time to get my last four rounds in.

I love a good lunch time workout. I always found it kept me sharper for the rest of the day... Plus I always tend to problem solve in the shower...

It does give me a bit of a boost. Sitting in an office all day saps my creative energy.

Indeed. Funny my daughter made me play office with her yesterday. Despite me telling her it's not as fun as it seems!

It's great that you listened to your body and took breaks to cool down .
Your unnoticed body sweat; I'm sure your coworkers were more focused on their own days than your post-workout glow.😅
