Description from Strava:
I hope everyone is okay after the big IT issues yesterday. It seems that the parkrun systems are working fine. This was my first actual run in a month as I have either been away or volunteering.

Yesterday was really warm at around 30C and I made use of our pool to swim a few lengths without getting too hot. This morning was still a little warm, but overcast. I jogged some of the way there, It is so convenient having an event near home. It was looking like a good attendance and a lot of the regulars I know were there. There seemed to be a few people doing their first ever parkrun, so I hope they enjoyed it.

The mud patch after the first corner is still there, so my legs got a little dirty. A lot of people seemed to overtake me, but I just kept going. There was one old guy I was following for a while, but I passed him after a lap.

I really gave it all I could today. On the finish straight my phone started ringing, but there was no way I was going to answer it. My dad keeps forgetting that I am likely to be running at this time on a Saturday.

The time was similar to some recent efforts. I will keep trying to run around 30km each week. I will swim too when I can as that is good for general fitness. It is partly about just keeping in reasonable shape.

I aim to do my usual long Sunday run tomorrow, but have not decided on a route yet. I may try some cross-country for a change.

We are off to a comedy gig tonight, so I shall report on that later.

Run free!

It sounds fun, especially the swimming in the hot weather.
We haven't had hot weather here other some days. It's been raining like someone is pumping it from the cloud. Lol😂

We've had a lot of rain lately, but it's better now. I just don't like it too hot.

Not sure where these came from but it was a multi-pack. I have fancier running socks, but I'm not sure they make much difference.
