steevc just finished a 5.22km run, that lasted for 32 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 373.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
Every two weeks we have a music session at the White Horse pub near me and that was last night. People seem to be away, so there were only five of us, but it was good fun. Great to have @purplesinger along with her piano now that she is available to come. We each played a load of songs and then some of us went next door to Richard's house for tea/coffee and a chat. He and Rod have been around the music scene since the 1960s and so have lots of great stories. Rod went on to big success with the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and he still plays some of their songs.

I ended up getting to bed around midnight and had to be up by 7am. I did not sleep great and so it was an effort to get out and run. It was a nice morning though.

Rather than my usual trek up the hill I just ran through the village to the cemetery and back with a few diversions to stretch it out to 5km. I feel that is the minimum I should be doing. The pace was nothing special, but it does me good to be out.

I saw my friend Helen who is a race-walker out for her training. She is getting back into some racing. She really does shift, but we took different routes today.

I am working from home today and needed some coffee after my shower. I just got a second AeroPress coffee maker so I can keep one at the office. It is a great gadget for quick and easy fresh coffee. I have a hand-grinder for the beans. I bought the AeroPress and some bags of beans from Hive witness @whiterosecoffee.

I hit my bed around 10:30 last night, but then I had to be up at 4:30, so I feel you! I was going to skip my workout today as well, but I ended up putting in my usual 1.3 miles or so.

I prefer to get nearer 8 hours of good sleep, so I was not at my best. I'm not normally up too late. Some beer and coffee in my system did not help matters.

No, I can't imagine that would. I just had to do a sleep study earlier this week and it looks like they are probably going to put me on one of those CPAP machines. Hopefully that will improve my quality of sleep.

I normally avoid coffee in the evening, so that was a mistake as I have been sleeping fairly well lately.

I was never that into them, but I know that one well :) Love the comedy video and crap guitar solo.

There was some sort of formalised conflict between hiphop and rock. I remember a film with RunDMC, really low budget, where they were battling heavy rockers whose leader was played by Rick Rubin who was the producer of RUNDMC's records. He made records for both Slayer, Public Enemy, the Cult, Danzig and Beastie Boys. ANd they all learned and sampled from each other :)

Walk This Way was one of the first big crossover records for rap and rock. Then we had lots or rapping rock bands. Music evolves. I tend not to say that I hate any particular genre as there may be stuff I like. Rick Rubin is an interesting guy as he's not a musician and not into the technology of recording, but he's produced loads of acts.

I’d love to join a team for weekly sessions too here in Nigeria but don’t know where or how to find any…

I started this session, so you may have to do the same. Hive is much like that too so you should not depend on others to kick things off :)

Neither can I. I'm usually in bed by 10:30.

Well done for getting up so early after the jam. I love listening to Rod and Richard when they get chatting. They've got some funny stories to tell. It's interesting that Rod says he'd hate to be doing the circuits now.

Those guys lived through some history. I could happily listen for longer, but I did need to get home.
