steevc just finished a 6.98km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 501.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I did not run as much as I would like over the weekend as we were out for a lot of it. The weather was okay apart from bank holiday Monday when we had some rain. Today was looking fairly bright when I woke up.

I have to report that we lost a chicken yesterday. She just stopped eating. They do not live too long and we have had her for a few years. The other two are okay for now, but we may get more to get some eggs.

I set off for my usual run around Fairfield doing the new workout that I got from a friend with alternate fast kilometres. The first one is when I am heading up the hill, so it is not really two fast, but I can see the change in pace on the graphs that Strava provides. I seem to get more in the app now for things like pace and cadence.

I would have been in the office today, but there is a train strike. When I am working from home I can do these morning runs. Everything is looking very green out there with lots of birdsong.

I got some good pace on my way down the hill. I would be happy if I could maintain that for longer on the flat. I want to keep improving on my parkrun time. I will see if this routine helps, but I will also keep volunteering when necessary.

We should have our pool up soon, so I will be able to do some swimming. We have been preparing a new site for it.

Run free!

Ah, that's good that the train strike isn't going to impact you. I feel like you have rode your bike to work in the past haven't you? I did weights again this morning. I hope this summer I can get into more of a routine with the treadmill.

I could get a bus to work, but it takes longer and the bike would be even slower. I expect the bus would be busy too as other people have to get to where they work. My bosses don't mind me working from home some of the time.

I would like to do more cycling now the weather is better. I may do that instead of some of my runs.

Enjoy your workouts.

Ah okay that makes sense. I used to work with a guy who would bike about 15 to 20 miles to work each day. That's next level!

It would take me at least an hour and then I'd need a shower. I know others do it all the time and they will be in really good shape.
