The number of attempts makes a difference. That's what a close friend once told me. I've been carrying that phrase around with me the whole time. It comes up all the time when I want to quit. That is, every day.(really, really) Everyone has a story and at least one drama. But if there's only been one attempt, what are we talking about? Many haven't even had one...
The outer shell of great people's stories always shines with bright finishes of victories. For many of us, that's enough. But the most interesting part is the pain we'll never be told. About choices and deals with ourselves. About the thousands of wrong words and the million attempts after the falls. I'm becoming ashamed of my 1.5 attempts. I still have a lot to try...
When time is getting short, every day counts. Every hour. Every step not taken already moves one backward instead of leaving one in place. An inclined plane pointing into the ground where you're already waiting.
Every missed opportunity was in every attempt not made.

I will continue to play the game in the numbers of my achievements on Hive. Below is a table of my daily accumulation of Hive, HP, and layer 2 tokens:
This month's goals are about 50% unmet. That's what it means to set yourself goals beyond your strength and start the month and year out sick. Am I frustrated? No. The number of attempts makes a difference. I have to set my goals for the month again tomorrow before HPUD. And they will again be goals at the limit of my strength. Even though I don't know how I'm going to have time in the next month. Moving, training, and finding a job in another city. Another country...
I will make as many attempts as it takes...

Warm greetings brother! You're moving to another country? I'm so curious! As I read your words here a few things came to mind. The number of attempts does matter, yet the number of attempts made with full presence NowHere matters more, as they are often more fruitful. Time and opportunities matter, however you can't miss what's meant for you. Setting our goals at our limits makes us grow, succeed or fail, it matters not.
