Hivechess Tournament S20 Round 11: Farewell to Swiss
Dear chess fans,
yesterday the 11th round of S20 was played! For the rules please refer to the announcement post. It was a 2+1 Swiss tournament over 11 rounds with only 20 players (so far the average was 24,6).
@maestroask won yet another time with 10 points out of 11, followed by @kintokris and @franu. Congratulations to All!
It was one of my worst tournaments, I ended up not even in the top 10 and lost my rank 3 in the overall ranking. The pairing again ridiculous (much easier for some others). Against @franu I was in a completely winning position (+8) and up on time, but was mated (kudos to his tenacity). After that I was on tilt. I will never ever run a Swiss tournament again.

Swiss is interesting with pairings and being 2 + 1 makes it even more interesting and fun
While waiting for next round I followed games and saw couple good ones
@stayoutoftherz yours one was one of them - I think @franu defended well in the end and got his opportunity
And to see how close it was you have to watch it live - when there are seconds and moves are played
In some other games people were playing on couple seconds time and there were some good mates and blunders that are not seen
Some days are horrible. I think you break especially under time pressure rather than maintaining your cool or keep pressing.

Had a -2.6 advantage by move 16, It was a terrible game for me too.
I overcommitted to the attack and should’ve played with more patience.
I was just lucky that you've blundered that last move because of time trouble.
Btw, set my rating on the table to 2119 please. I ended the tourney with that rating. :)

The ratings in the table refer to the Blitz rating in which the majority of the games are played. Otherwise it would be too complicated to show also the bullet ratings.
