Hivechess Season 17 Final Results: @eniolw, @dhilan04, @agreste and @sammy00 are the Champions
Dear chess fans,
yesterday the 10th and final round of S17 "x4" was played as a 5+1 arena tournament, with only 18 players participating. Welcome back, @iamchessguy to Hivechess!
Not entirely surprisingly, @eniolw could win the tournament effortlessly (with not much competition) with a huge lead to runner-up @iamchessguy and @dhilan04 who was third. Congrats to All!

Congratulations to the new champions and all participants!
Special price
The price of 5 Hive for the highest average performance in relation to the own rating goes to: @grafo07, with a differences of 257,2 rating points, ahead of @ram9612 (206,5)! Congratulations!
In addition, @anomadsoul will distribute again 500 LEO among the players (details to follow).
Season stats
In season 17 in total 44 players were participating (one player more than in S16). The average participation was with 19,7 players per round slightly better than in S16 (19,5), but significantly lower than in S15 (27,2).
No players had to change the tournament categories, but in one case it was very close! @sammy00 (migmag) had an average rating of 1499,5 and thus by a thread could keep tier 1!
The number of players who participated regularly was disappointingly low (e.g. 43,2% of players played only one or two rounds, even more than last season (39,5%)). Consequently, only 21 players (=47,7%) qualify for prices (minimum was 5 participations)! The prizepool will be about 620 Hive (last season it was 667 Hive)! Not bad given that we over the whole season haven´t gotten a single upvote by a whale. A part of the prizepool will be transferred to HBD savings, to create an additional passive income stream for future prizes! Details will be shared when the new season will be announced.
As always, all prices will be transferred in app. one week, after the payout of this post (and any other posts using @chesspricepool as beneficiary).
Thank you all for your participation & engagement (and the upvotes)!
There will be now a break, so no promises when S18 will start.
In between we will have as usual some Hivechess fun tournaments, so stay tuned and keep practicing!
And, by the way, please answer the questions, that I have asked in the previous post! They help me to figure out the plan for the next season! Many thanks to those who have already added their opinion!
Thanks, for the 5 Hive Price, I had a high ping and I can't play well in round 10. Congratulation to all. #hivechess
Most welcome!
Thank you very much for divisions and tournaments organised. This time I played good enough. Proud of myself)

This is great to hear and I am happy for them 😊
Congratulations to the winners
Maybe I have missed something, but how @agreste with ELO 1836 stayed in the Tournament 2 (1500-1799)?
I don't know exactly the rules, but I have no problem with being moved to tournament 3 if you feel it is necessary.
Next time you would start in that group, if your rating stays above 1800.
I did the math and averaged all his ratings (of course not bullet and not chess960)
1730 1795 1779 1788 1795 1789 1822 and 1836, outcome was 1791,75
That was fun! I'm looking forward to the next season but I'll keep posting my training sessions in the community so I can contribute to the pool for the next season
Awesome!
But please keep in mind that the current @pricepool will be powered done (as I pay out the prices from my pocket and take it back from there), instead in the new season 18 it will be again the @badge-646464 account that will accrue all rewards! So from today onwards please use rather the @badge-646464 as beneficiary!
okkk! got it

Great results everyone! Looking forward to a few of these fun matches inbetween the new season!
Congratulations!
