Rovanpera scored his maiden win at WRC Rally Estonia
Hi, friends!
Youngster from Finland Kalle Rovanpera had just perfect weekend in Estonia where he led almost whole weekend. I said almost because Estonian Ott Tanak started to pace the rally until he had two punctures and because of that he had to retire from the day..
Kalle's father Hari Rovanpera scored his only win in Sweden 20 years ago and I remember that very well. He was so happy today to see his youngster today winning on the super fast roads of Estonia.
Kalle is now the youngest World Rally Championship ever at age of 20. Next season, when Seb Ogier retires from the sport, he could be the next title contender. But who knows, we have Evans, young Solberg etc. Younger and younger drivers start to surprise the WRC world. I guess that it's kinda normal because they have better nerves, only experience is missing.
So Rovanpera scored another Toyota win while two Hyundai guys, Craig Breen and Thierry Neuville, finished as 2nd and 3rd. Not it is obvious that Hyundai has some mechanical problems.
The other two Toyota drivers, Seb Ogier and Elfyn Evans, finished as 4th and 5th, and now Ogier has even bigger championship advantage. It will be really hard to catch him in his last full season in the sport.
Teemu Suninen finished at 6th position for M-Sport Ford and I guess that they are just waiting for the next season when they will have completely new car but they also need a driver that can win the rallies. Podium places should not make them too much happy. They need wins also.
Pierre-Louis Loubet finally scored his first championship points of this season for 2C Competition. He is a privateer and his drive is a paying drive so he doesn't have to care what his team thinks about all that but because of their money and sponsors, he should start to finish the rallies more often.
Alexey Lukyanuk rolled the car on the Power Stage but he was the fastest Rally2 car of the weekend. Great thing for him because that was his first WRC points.

Este deporte pues como dices necesitan pilotos que estén vien en reflejos porque no mucha veces es el vehículo si no el quien lo conduce pues el rally es un deporte a alta velocidad y en alta velocidad el reflejo es importante.
