Paul Nagle's last ever special stage in WRC (onboard)
Hi, friends!
Paul Nagle is probably one of the most famous Irish co-drivers in history of the sport of rallying. He has close to 300 rally starts (286 to be precise) and he decided to quit his career now in the right moment for Craig Breen, who has to change a co-driver just to relive his M-Sport Ford stint after lots of bad results this year.
It is very well known that drivers change their navigators when things start to go downwards. We were all expecting from Breen to do that but Nagle, probably after talk with Breen, decided to finish his career and let the right seat to some younger co-driver.
He has five World Rally Championship wins, all five with Englishman Kris Meeke from their Citroen days. After the pair has been axed because of too many accidents (in middle of season 2018), Meeke opted for a new co-driver while Nagle started to read for Craig Breen.
It is just unforgettable their win at Finland 2016 where they managed to win in a part time drive with PH Sport (Citroen's satellite team) over all the teams who did whole season with their star drivers.
Today we have Breen and Nagle in the leading roles from the last special stage of WRC Rally Catalunya Spain, the last one for Negle's career.
