Onboard rally video of the day - Sordo with Hyundai i20 Rally2 at Rally de Fafe 2021

Hi, friends!

Dani Sordo won the 2005 Junior World Rally Championship and the next season was the first one for him in the top WRC category. Citroen gave him a rallying career but I remember his rallies in the WRC with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO in the Production Category in pre-JWRC days. He was just dominant in the class and that already showed how good is that driver.

Carlos Sainz sr helped him a lot in 2006 with the looking for sponsorship to finance the season because Citroen took sabbatical for that season. From 2007 he was Citroen Racing works driver and with results because he was a podium regular but he just couldn't become their first driver. Something was missing and that something was wins.

He left the team for Mini in 2011 and that lasted for two season and not the two full seasons because they lacked the funds. So he came back to Citroen for 2013 when he scored his first win in Germany after a big battle with Thierry Neuville.

From the next season 2014 he is a Hyundai works driver and this lasts. He just signed a new contract with them for 2022 to share the 3rd works car with the youngster Oliver Solberg.

When you watch his career, there is one constant - he almost never crashes, and that is the quality every team boss wants from his professional rally driver.

You can see his statistics on the link bellow.

After you see his stats, you can enjoy the onboard from the last European Rally Championship event Rally de Fafe in Portugal where he scored top special stage times with the MRF Tyres which are way behind Michelin or Pirelli.

Enjoy...
