Onboard rally video of the day - Ott Tanak with Toyota Yaris WRC at legendary Monte Lerno special stage of WRC Rally Sardinia 2018

Hi, friends!

I am glad that I can write today about special stage of WRC Rally Sardinia which we drove this year and I can tell you from the first hand how horrific gravel roads can be. And Ott Tanak drives top category which starts first on the road. When we come with our small cars, the roads are already completely destroyed.

The biggest problem, beside big rocks all over the place, are ruts and big holes which can easily destroy your suspension. Beside mechanical damage, you can also remove the tire from the rim while going out of the rut at ful speed and then you have a puncture, as Tanak has on this video.

Yeah, they had to stop to change a wheel, loose more then a minute in process and continue to drive. But that's rallying and you must be prepared for any kind of failure at this kind of rough gravel.
