Onboard rally video of the day - Mikkelsen with Škoda Fabia Rally2 at ERC Rally Hungary 2021

Hi, friends!

Do you know what is important if you want to be a future champion in any kind of championship? The answer is not to be afraid to drive on a high speed on some narrow forest road. Yeah, that's where you will gain most of the time.

And in rallying there is a popular line which says - you can't fool a clock. After the special stage you will see you time from the stage and see if you were quick or slow. Then you can analyze what was wrong or what you can improve for the next loop of the special stages.

If some driver can win rallies on the World Rally Championship level, then we are talking about the super quick drivers. And Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen certainly is super quick.

He managed to win both championships in only one season - WRC2 class in the World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship overall.

He revealed lately that he won't go on the Canary Island for the last round of the European Rally Championship because the crown is already secured. Instead of that he will go to Monza, the last round of the World Rally Championship because his goal was always to come back into the WRC.

He is currently in the tough situation because he wants works drive and the seats are already occupied for the 2022 season.

There is another problem for him at the moment. Even if he pays for a drive in Rally1 class for 2022, he needs so much testing time in that class and it would be hardly possible to fight against works guys who already had some testing time and they will have a plenty of it more.

I guess that Mikkelsen will stay for some time in WRC2 class and wait for a first possible offer just to come back into Rally1 class. Until then we enjoy in his drive from his last ERC rally in Hungary.

Enjoy and learn...
