Lappi won WRC Rally Sweden 2024

Hi, friends!

Did you know that only four Rally1 cars finished in the top 9 positions?! That's not good for the sport. Maybe idea that Rally2 cars would be better option as a top category is not that bad after all.

But that doesn't diminish the fact that Finn Esapekka Lappi scored his 2nd WRC win of his career, this time as a driver of Hyundai works team. It seems that Hyundai improved more then we thought during the winter break and that's good for the Championship.

The best placed Toyota driver was Elfyn Evans in 2nd place overall while M-Sport Ford's Adrien Fourmaux scored his 1st podium in his career, finishing 3rd overall.

Last of the Rally1 drivers was Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who finished 4th overall. Oliver Solberg won WRC2 class in the works Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.
