Kalle Rovanpera won WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2024

Hi, friends!

Current World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota) is back. And after bitter first outing in Sweden, this time he did everything right at gravel of Safari Rally which he conquered in style.

His team mate Elfyn Evans finished 2nd overall and he is collecting points in the title bid for this year's Championship. Strange way of points counting brought Thierry Neuville more points then to Evans despite Evans finished in front of Neuville. Crazy, isn't it?

Adrien Fourmaux did really great job finishing 3rd overall and this is his 2nd podium in the row for M-Sport Ford. Great job from him.

Next World Rally Championship round is Croatia Rally and it is completely held on tarmac.

awesome rally!! Not sure how I feel about the new points system though.... Fourmaux is driving VERY well right now which is great to see!! I'm sure Malcolm is very pleased with him. Let not forget about Takamoto Katsuta - what a rally he had!! Hope to see him on the top level of the podium soon!!!

I just don’t see the new points system as being fair! How can Neuville end up with more points but finish behind Evans…. Just isn’t right. I understand why they did it, but there has to be a better way!
