Hyundai plans four car entries in top Rally1 class for 2nd part of 2022
Hi, friends!
Guys from Hyundai are well awarn that their chances for manufacturer's crown in 2021 are almost gone. So they started to plan the next season which will be in every aspect special.
For the first time in the history of rallying we will have hybrid rally cars with around 500bhp at some places.
Yeah, that high power won't be available to driver all the time, but at some parts of the special stage. It is all about computers, programming in a rally cars these days.
FIA will give the instructions to the teams how to program and when to use the hybrid power automatically. Anyway, it will be very interesting season, that's for sure.
Hyundai has four drivers for season 2022 and two of them - Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak - will have a full season program, while other two - Dani Sordo and Oliver Solberg - will share the 3rd car.
Now it seems that Hyundai decided to enter four cars for every event in 2022 with all of their four drivers.
But the truth is that they for sure have some other drivers in plans, like Teemu Suninen or probably Andreas Mikkelsen.
Next weekend we have WRC Rall Monza on the program and then the long break until January and Monte Carlo Rallye.
