Evans tested with Toyota ahead of WRC Rally Finland 2021

Hi, friends!

Elfyn Evans is 44 points behind seven times World Rally Champion Seb Ogier and with only three rallies remained, there are strong chances that this season is finished for good because Ogier don't do mistakes, or do them so rarely that I don't remember it and I live this sport almost 24/7.

But if he is a professional driver like he is, then he won't quit until the last km of the last special stage. Last season he had the strongest chance to become a WRC champion but he lost it in the mountains around Monza on the very last rally of the season.

Seb Ogier is so strong in his head and that's why his opposition make mistakes The same thing happened to Elfyn Evans but as we all know that this is Ogier's final full season at the highest level of the sport, next season could be easier. But not that much because his young team mate Kalle Rovanpera is coming strong and with one more win then Evans has this year.

All those drivers at the top of the sport are pretty much equal except Ogier who is just better then the others, that are just the facts.

Elfyn Evans has more then 170 rally starts and that is a huge number which gives you something which is so important in rallying - the experience.

He won Wales Rally GB in 2017 with DMACK tires and that was the only time in the modern history of rallying that some other tire manufacturer won the WRC event. But because Wales Rally GB is always muddy, that surface suits Evans very well so it could be very good for him if it will be rainy outhere in the Finnish forests.
