Esapekka Lappi with Hyundai ahead of WRC Rally Sweden 2024

Hi, friends!

As every Scandinavian, Finn Esapekka Lappi is a snow and fravel specialist who can always shine bright on that surface, but I would say that he is also very good on tarmac but his only WRC win until today is on gravel of Finland.

This season he will have only partial season with Hyundai and I suspect that all the high speed gravel events will be his. We have to add this only snow event from Sweden to his calendar because it is a super high speed event but held on snow.

It is amazing how much grip studded tires can provide on snow or ice. Studts must me much longer then for Monte Carlo Rallye event because snow/ice is much deeper in Sweden.

its amazing how they are able to "throw" the cars around the track and still maintain control.... I do realize they have massive studs, but still - amazing skill involved!!!

Of course but the grip is much bigger then on gravel with gravel tires...

Considering the size of the studs they use, I don’t find that hard to believe at all!!
