Documentary rally video of the day - Interview with legendary co-driver Nicky Grist
Hi, friends!
British co-driver Nicky Grist is one of probably best co-drivers of all time. He doesn't have that much titles like Daniel Elena or Julien Ingrassia but those two guys had two diminators in the World Rally Championship, Elena navigated for Loeb and Ingrassia for Ogier.
Grist had different path. He used to read for M-Sport owner Malcolm Wilson in 1991 as part of Ford works team. Later he started to work with Mitsubishi and German driver Armin Schwarz but the real peak of his career starts with Juha Kankkunen with whom took his final WRC crown in 1993.
Later he atarted to read for Colin McRae and that was it. Their last rally together was Rally Turkey in 2006 with Citroen and McRae soon died in a helichopter accident while Grist finished his co-driver's career as a professional.
I don't want to spoil more but some nice thi ga could be heard from this interview so please enjoy... :)
