Compact Dynamics not happy with their hybrid system ditched out of WRC

I already wrote about the news that FIA working group ditched the hybrid system from Rally1 cars and that will be implementing at the end of this season 2024.

I like green thinking but World Rally Championship already use 100% sustainable fuel and that's good. Hybrid system was good in thinking but it made Rally1 cars so expensive to run that rare privateer was able to enter some of the rallies.

Only super rich guys like Lorenzo Bertelli (don of Prada owner) or Jourdan Serderidis (very rich rally enthusiast) managed to drive Rally1 cars after they were inttoduced to the sport. And that's not good.

Top of the rallying should be more available to the private drivers and that's why FIA working group decided to ditch the hybrid system project at the end of 2024.

It is understandable that guys from Compact Dynamics are not happy because they are under the contract with FIA until the end of 2026.

It is still unknown how will this be resolved between the parties but I see this cost cutting as a position move towards teams and drivers.
