Cheng Fei was possibly the first gymnast who was able to pull off exceptional form in her Amanar, but, in terms of height, what Maroney and Biles did with this vault is off the charts. Some people have asked me why I didn't include Simona Amanar in this video about the vault named after her, and the reason I didn't include Simona is that there is no footage showing her doing her own vault with good execution; the available footage is from the Sydney 200 Olympics, where she had a big stumble on the landing.
