Sportstalk Curation Showcase #22
Hello and welcome to another edition of the Sportstalk curation showcase where we highlight members of the community for extra attention. The hope is through these posts that the users highlighted may pick up an extra follower or two helping them grow organically. We are always looking for users to add to our feeds and the hope is this promotion post will help that happen.
All of the following posts are live meaning they fall within the 7 day window of curation.
First up this week is @jasperdick who analyses the surf to find the best waves. The surfers I knew were never the smartest tools in the toolbox and maybe why they never took advantage of the various conditions. Everything makes perfect sense when we think about what is being said as the difference is you want to get out with ease. As a swimmer you look for the currents as the last thing that you want is to be washed out to sea. Surfers think the opposite way as that is where they want to be so working smart does pay off. Currents are fairly easy to read just by looking at the white water and direction of the waves and what every local looks out for. This is why holiday makers who don't know the conditions get into trouble sometimes as every beach is different.
Formula One - Austin GP - Bitter Taste of Winning
With so much going on behind the scenes @ga38jem does well in covering everything that is going on. The race this weekend was like a distraction to what is going on behind the scenes. The founder of Red Bull passed away over the weekend which may or may not have delayed any punishment's being handed out to the team for overstepping their spending cap last season. Driers have been told to score points in order to secure their seats for next season which is putting the added pressure on the likes of Mick Schumacher. His race was ruined when he was pitted late on due to picking up damage from debris on the track and is now running out of time with 3 races left. I do look forward to this post every Sunday night as it is a solid recap of the racing weekend and @ga38jem never misses a thing.
Hive FPL Game Week 12 Summary: How did you Fare Without Manchester City & Arsenal?
Another solid recap by the @hivefpl team as these posts not only take time to put together, but the facts need to be spot on as these posts are here to assist you in your selections. I often wonder after doing all the research before and after games if the team is actually learning more about the sport as you should be when you are analyzing it so thoroughly. I haven't seen any other team out there analyze as much as this team is doing and the community is definitely spoiled if they pay attention to what is being written.
Will it be Lucky Game Week 13 for Hive fpl players
@tengolotodo is always good for a laugh on his posts as he writes like he thinks and I enjoy that type of writing style. Seeing how someone is thinking when selecting a team is an eye opener and understanding the thought process is what makes it interesting. I suppose this will only become more competitive as the season progresses as there are prizes on the line and it may take some out of the box type of thinking to make the difference. Always a fun read and worthwhile looking out for.
Seriously, goodbyes should be goodbyes!
Finally we have @mckane discussing players who should be retiring and a goodbye is a goodbye. How many players have ruined their reputations by not hanging up their boots at the right time? I can think of dozens of sportsman who carried on far too long ruining what should have been a memorable career. It is not like they need the money, but it seems they cannot come to terms with the age catching up with them. Did Messi or Ronaldo need to move away from their clubs for one last hurrah as it was not financial, but more about ego. Ronaldo is struggling with not starting in the line up and this is not something he has had to ever contemplate before and is not happy with being a super sub. Interesting post and a great topic that never grows old like the players do lol.
A big thank you to the community for continuously providing such decent original content to curate and what makes it a real joy. I have missed doing this over the last few weeks and thankfully back up to full speed now and will be hunting out the gems for the next edition.
