My Actifit Report Card and Update: April 14 2025

Hi Everyone,

I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. Despite the good weather, I’ve not been as active as I would have hoped. I’ve hurt my right leg somehow. I’ve been resting it, hoping it’ll feel better soon. I managed to mow the lawn two days ago, but it was quite a struggle. I needed to get it done because our long dry spell is coming to an end. It was supposed to rain today but hasn’t yet.

We’ve been really lucky with the weather this spring. For the past five years, spring has been dark and wet. This reminds me more of what it was like before I moved to Singapore. Sunny days followed by chilly nights. It looks like they’ve been doing less geoengineering this year. I hope it remains this way.

I’ve posted the results of this month’s Sapien Loop quiz. It was another good turnout. Participants answered most of the questions correctly, and the winner answered them all correctly. A big well done to all of you.

I’ve been busy on my @captainhive account. I posted two more short stories. The first short story, ‘Life Underground’ takes a brief look into the activities of the underground Linap. Despite a unified start to this new civilisation, tensions begin to build. The struggle for control and power mirrors the world above but on a smaller scale. After a brief run-through of historical developments, the story focuses on Miro and Flint’s visits to the southern underground tribes.

The leader of the first tribe was easy to deal with. Miro managed to negotiate a very favourable deal for himself and his tribes. The second tribe was much harder to negotiate with; they were the cult tribe. The cult leader Angelo was narcissistic and believed he was the messenger of the higher power. Read to find out how things end up.

The second story was a little more light hearted but still carried a strong message. Advisor Sanguine organised an entertainment action team. It consisted of a variety of different entertainers. This included actors, talk show hosts, ventriloquists, magicians, and journalists. The team were promised bigger budgets and higher salaries. However, they were also required to include Sanguine’s political messages within their performances.

Part one of the story outlines the plan, and part two focuses on a talk show where the entertainers elaborate on their new shows and ventures. Warning: the show contains plenty of insult humour and other ridiculous things.

That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I hope everyone heads over to my other account to read the short stories. I’m now up to twelve stories. One of them is more a blog than a story. I have decided to consider this as bonus content. Therefore, I’m going to write one final short story for this series. It should be complete by the time I write my next Actifit Report and Update. After that I’ll finally return to my economics content.
