Titanic Belfast plus Actifit Report
Hi Everyone,
It's been a slow week on Hive for me. I haven't posted since my previous Actifit Report and Update. Instead, I've spent a lot of time working on the book. It has been more mentally draining that I expected. For the story to feel credible, I needed to get inside the heads of characters I created. Some of them are very disturbed. These characters are necessary to tell the story in a way that gets my point across.
I have completed the outline of the economy and environment of the world I'm creating. It will be updated to reflect new ideas as I progress through the story. I have used simple concentric shapes to design settlements. I have created more detail for these settlements using builder type games. Since, the book is based on an alien world. I needed to design the alien look. I kept this fairly basic by giving them a close resemblance to humans. The animals on this planet are based on Hamlet the happy pig.
Titanic Belfast
I went to explore the Titanic museum several years ago. It was a good experience. Sadly, it was temporarily closed during the Covid-19 fiasco. I believe it was also taken over by new ownership. After the takeover, it was closed again for renovation and only opened back up a couple of months ago. My family and I thought it would be nice to go back to the museum to see what had changed. It was also almost my sister's birthday so we turned it into a birthday outing. We followed up the visit to the Titanic museum with afternoon tea at the Titanic Hotel.
Most of the first section of the museum was unchanged. They added some new technology to make certain exhibits more interactive. They also provided a video guide. Frogman had a go on one of the touch screens. The first part of the museum was focused on Belfast and the building of Titanic.
Next up was the ride that took us through the shipyard and Titanic construction. This seemed the same as before. It made sense to keep it as it is a good ride.
Next up, was a tour of the completed Titanic before it's first voyage. This part of the museum showed the various rooms and cabins on the ship. There was a giant all walls movie that takes you on a journey from the lowest level of the ship, engine room, to the top level, captain's bridge. It showed all the levels inbetween such as third class dining, cabins, first class dining, and the atrium. This section of the museum did not appear upgraded from last time.
The next section of the museum was about the sinking of Titanic. It showed how the ship went down. It described some of the more well-known passengers to die on the ship. It showed the extent of the tragedy as a whole.
The first part of this section of the museum was unchanged. To this point, it seemed very little had been changed from our previous visit. From this point onwards, almost everything was different. There were new exhibits explaining how Titanic sunk and what significant changes were made to prevent such a disaster ever happening again.
The most impressive change made to the museum was the last section. It was an open area with video projections on the walls displaying various stories about the ship. The protections of the photos of the families that were on the ship was quite creepy.
This area had some interesting items that were recovered from Titanic. These items included coats, the violin of one of the courageous musicians, and a wooden deckchair.
The floor of this area was a movie of the top of the sunk Titanic. It enabled people to look into the wreckage from above. It was quite impressive. I expect they obtained the footage from one of the dives.
My overall experience at the Titanic museum was good. It had changed enough to warrant another visit. It made sense for them not to change everything as the older setup still had value and would give a better experience for people going to the museum for the first time.
That wraps up my Actifit Report and Update for this week. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and have a good week ahead.

It's really astounding to use the video of the dive to educate people about the history of that titanic. The nostalgia one feels and the whole idea of the museum is such a finesse. This is about one of the closest detail I've seen about the titanic sink. It must've been an amazing trip.
Writing takes it toll and characterization is another thing that's quite challenging. I like that fact that you took some time off .
It is a good museum. Probably the best attraction in Belfast.
Do the Aliens use Monetary Tools...???
Yeah they do. They increase money supply to prevent deflation of their currency.
