My Actifit Report Card and Update: March 21 2022

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with another Actifit Report and Update. It feels like spring has arrived. There is a little warmth in the air. Plants are starting to grow again. The days are almost as long as the nights. My back garden has been mud ever since it was landscaped a few months ago. Nothing has been able to grow because of the cold. I think it is time to have another go at growing grass. It needs to be above 10 degrees Celsius for it to grow. Some days we reach that temperature. Hopefully, most days in April will be above it. The longer days and more sunlight helps as well. The ground dries much quicker after it has rained.

Yesterday, I took Mango the dog for a slightly longer midday walk. We explored the neighbourhood higher up the hill. On the way back we walked along the path behind our house. Lily goat was stacked on top of Hamlet the happy pig. That is one of their favourite positions. This time they were lying on top of each other. I took a photograph with my phone but the quality isn't great. They are at the bottom by the back door.

I have written two long posts since my previous Actifit Report and Update. Both posts focused on the war in Ukraine. Both posts focused around the theme of winners and losers. In the first post, I discussed the losers from this war. In the second post, I discussed the winners. It is not difficult to see who stand to suffer from this war. Some suffer directly such as the young soldiers fighting in it and the civilians caught in war zones. Other people suffer less directly such as the people hit financially and socially by the sanctions. In the long run, the sanctions could destroy more lives than the direct military conflict.

Every war is a tragedy, people do not think about the many other wars around the world. Many of them have been going for many years even decades. The war in Ukraine is being treated differently by mainstream media and Governments. They expect you to be outraged by the violence and suffering taking place. You should be angry but not just at Russia (Government) but at every party who has supported, funded, provoked, and started any war. They do so for their own selfish gains and they do so at the expense of the majority of people. We can all play a part in building a better more peaceful world.
