Les vengo a contar sobre mi hermana, es deportista a nivel nacional y mundial, asistió a multiples competencias en todo el mundo y hoy día es una gran entrenadora que ha llevado a muchos niños y niñas a ganar medallas.

Mi hermana se llama Alejandra Margarita Fuentes Persson, nacida en Cumaná, Estado Sucre, Venezuela, actualmente tiene 39, una carrera deportiva desde los 4 años y aquí quiero contarte un poco su historia.

Alejandra es clavadista, es decir, hace saltos ornamentales, esa fue su carrera profesional, ella comenzó con la gimnasia artística, la cual estuvo muchos años y era de las que siempre traía una medalla de competencia, desde niña siempre daba lo mejor de si.

Luego de un tiempo, se encontró con un deporte que la enamoró, un deporte que la ayudó a crecer, sanar en muchos aspectos. Desde muy pequeña está metida en una piscina, la cual a mí también me llevaban, pero a mí no me tomaron mucho en cuenta y a ella si porque no le tenia miedo a lanzarse de un trampolín haciendo mortales, tirabuzones y cayendo de cabeza en una piscina.

Los saltos ornamentales, es el deporte que te lanzas de un trampolín de 1 metro, 3 metro, 5 metros, 7 metros y 10 metros, dependiendo del nivel que vayas a competir. Mi hermana era la primera a nivel nacional en 1 metro y 3 metros. Se sentía cómoda en esa altura y hacía sus acrobacias con más seguridad.

Fue ganadora de varios premios por excelencia en nuestro país Venezuela, en Colombia, por méritos gracias a su desempeño, era raro cuando no venia con una medalla, sobretodo si eran competencia en el continente americano.

Fue a los juegos centroamericanos, compitió en 13 países a nivel mundial, incluso fue a las olimpiadas de Sydney 2000. Uno de sus mayores logros fue ese, era una adolescente de 16 años cuando eso.

En época de competencia los concentraban en hoteles o sitios donde estuvieran todos los atletas para que se enfocaran en entrenar, descansaran y así se hicieran más fuertes para su desempeño en dichas competencias. Mi hermana casi no vivió con nosotros en casa, se fue muy joven a otro estado a vivir para ser mejor deportista.

Hoy en día mi hermana tiene una academia de clavados fuera del país, donde entrena a jóvenes y niños los cuales han ido participando en competencias y tienen mejor desempeño que los otros equipos. Un gran equipo que hace ella con su esposo y otro entrenador amigo de ellos.

Puedo decir, que estaba tan entregada a su deporte, que en una ocasión compitió enferma y no se rindió. Siguió adelante y eso la hace una gran deportista y mujer.

Nosotros en casa la admiramos mucho por su éxito, para nosotros siempre va a ser la campeona, la deportista, la que triunfó en lo que le gustaba, en su carrera profesional no hay un titulo en su pared de Licenciada, pero tiene muchas medallas, diplomas, experiencia y vivencias que muchos de nosotros no tenemos.

Aún ella puede dar mucho más de lo que ella es y estamos muy orgullosos de ella.

I am here to tell you about my sister, she is a national and world athlete, she attended multiple competitions around the world and today she is a great coach who has led many boys and girls to win medals.

My sister's name is Alejandra Margarita Fuentes Persson, born in Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela, she is currently 39, a sports career since she was 4 years old and here I want to tell you a little about her story.

Alejandra is a diver, that is, she does ornamental jumps, that was her professional career, she began with artistic gymnastics, which she did for many years and was one of those that always brought a competition medal, since she was a child she always gave her best.

After a while, she found a sport that she fell in love with, a sport that helped her grow, heal in many ways. Since she was very little she has been in a pool, which they took me too, but they didn't take me much into account and she did because she wasn't afraid of jumping off a springboard doing somersaults, twists and falling headfirst into a pool .

The ornamental jumps, is the sport that you launch from a springboard of 1 meter, 3 meter, 5 meters, 7 meters and 10 meters, depending on the level that you are going to compete. My sister was the first at the national level in 1 meter and 3 meters. She felt comfortable at that height and did her stunts with more confidence.

She was the winner of several awards for excellence in our country Venezuela, in Colombia, for merits thanks to her performance, it was rare when she did not come with a medal, especially if they were competing in the American continent.

She went to the Central American Games, she competed in 13 countries worldwide, she even went to the 2000 Sydney Olympics. One of her greatest achievements was that, she was a 16-year-old teenager when that.

During competition times they were concentrated in hotels or places where all the athletes were so that they could focus on training, rest and thus become stronger for their performance in said competitions. My sister hardly lived with us at home, she went to another state at a very young age to live to be a better athlete.

Today my sister has a diving academy outside the country, where she trains young people and children who have been participating in competitions and perform better than the other teams. A great team that she makes with her husband and another coach friend of theirs.

I can say that she was so dedicated to her sport that on one occasion she competed sick and did not give up. She kept going and that makes her a great athlete and woman.

At home we admire her very much for her success, for us she will always be the champion, the athlete, the one who succeeded in what she liked, in her professional career there is not a title on her wall as Graduate, but she has many medals, diplomas, experience and experiences that many of us do not have.

Even she can give much more than she is and we are very proud of her.
