Now onto the News, Rumors, and Commentary…
“A lot of White Sox fans think Moncada isn’t that good of a baseball player. The Chicago White Sox have a very good player playing third base for them. As a result, Moncada is one of the more underrated players in all of baseball. One of those great players is Yoan Moncada.”
“It was nice for the White Sox in 2021 and hopefully, they can keep that going. Going into 2022, the White Sox should be confident against them. They are the team that the White Sox need to watch out for going forward. The weakness of the division certainly isn’t the only reason the White Sox made the playoffs but it helped them coast in the second half of the season.”
“Olson is credited with a hold, he also gave up two hits and a walk to the first three batters of the seventh, then exited after inducing a run-scoring double play. Box score link It’s been a long season for everyone and José Rodríguez is no longer picking up two hits per game like he was during his stint with the Winston-Salem Dash. Rodríguez also stole a base, his first nabbed bag of the AFL season. Still, though, today he reached twice, the first time a third-inning walk where he was immediately erased via force out, the second a seventh-inning single that scored Lars Nootbar from a triple (Nootbar, a Cardinals prospect, ended up hitting for the cycle).”
“With Birmingham the following year, Forbes slashed just .242/.333/.327 in 116 games as he produced 18 doubles, three triples, three homers, 31 RBIs, four stolen bases, 45 walks (10.0%) and 106 strikeouts (23.6%). In that junior season, he slashed .424/.558/.692 in 61 games by producing 16 doubles, two triples, 11 homers, 66 RBIs, 54 walks (19.6%) and 31 strikeouts (11.2%). Combined with both teams, Forbes slashed .267/.329/.396 with 15 doubles, three triples, six homers, six stolen bases, 22 walks and 90 strikeouts. The 2017 season saw him split time with Kannapolis and Winston-Salem with decent but unspectacular numbers: .245/.342/.402 in 124 games with 30 doubles, six triples, 10 homers, 68 RBIs, 58 walks (10.8%) and 114 strikeouts (21.3%).”
