Walking In The Plantation (My Actifit Report Card: June 3 2024)
Today my uncle invited me to do some maintenance on his plantation. My uncle has a large plantation.
This plantation is far from my house. I had to drive my car to get to the plantation which was far from residential areas. It keeps the plantation natural and has fertile soil.
If plantations and livestock are close to residential areas, this will create contamination. In particular, it is not good for livestock and the quality of soil for plantations.
Currently my uncle is focusing on durian plantations. In our area, durian fruit is a promising commodity. I went around to check the durian fruit to see if there were any durian fruit that were attacked by pests.
It felt really good to wander around the durian garden and I couldn't wait for the durian fruit to ripen. Usually my uncle will wait for the durian to fall by itself from the tree before it can be sold. Durian tastes better if it is ripe straight from the tree.
Continuing to another area, I also checked the jackfruit. The jackfruit tree bears abundant fruit. I wanted to wrap jackfruit but forgot to bring a sack. So, tomorrow I will come back again to wrap these jackfruits.
This jackfruit can also be sold as young jackfruit which is usually used to cook young jackfruit curry. If there is a request from residents near where my uncle lives.
I also looked at the dragon fruit garden to check the dragon fruit that was ready to be harvested.
My uncle said that in a few weeks, the dragon fruit would be harvested.
At the end of the activity I helped my uncle look for grass to feed the goats. My uncle is good at keeping goats. It's not easy to look after goats. We believe that if a person is fit to raise goats, the goats will give birth to children.
My uncle's goats have given birth to babies. It provides benefits for my uncle and allows my uncle to pay for his children's school fees.
I have a dream to own a plantation and goat farm like my uncle. That's why I started learning a lot about agriculture and plantations with my uncle while helping my uncle maintain his garden.
Activities that make me sweat are also exciting to see my favorite fruits bear fruit abundantly. I will update you when the fruit is ripe.
