This past Friday, I decided to trade the fluorescent lights of my office for the warm glow of the setting sun. With a spring in my step (and a podcast playing in my ears), I embarked on a journey through my neighborhood.
The air was crisp and clean, a welcome change from the stale air conditioning. As I walked, the weight of the week seemed to lift off my shoulders. The rhythmic crunch of my shoes on the pavement became a kind of meditation, each step pushing away the stress and anxieties of the past few days.
My walk took me past familiar sights, yet I saw them with a renewed perspective. A group of children playing hopscotch on the sidewalk, their laughter echoing in the air. A vibrant bed of tulips bursting forth with color, defying the remnants of winter. Even the grumpy old man watering his roses seemed a little less grumpy in the golden hour light.
