WOO - Promoting Communities, P2E games and Projects on Hive: Maybe HiveFest Discussion

Greetings to everyone on Hive,

I hope you had a splendid and wonderful Christmas holiday. It's now basically the road to 2024 and sometime in the new year we may have HiveFest where discussions about the Hive Project could go on.

I'm not exactly a traveler so it would probably be next to improbable that I'll be there in person but I wanted to talk about something I believe would help the Hive Blockchain grow in popularity and I sure hope this gets talked about.

So weeks back I made a blog in one of the communities talking about implementing Hive Token Tipping on some of the famous social media platforms like Titkok and YouTube as a way to promote the Blockchain and its cryptocurrency, Hive.

The reality of the situation is that if we're looking for Hive to become as huge as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we're probably going to have to connect or link Hive to these platforms in one way or the other.

Imagine having to tip someone on TikTok using Hive tokens, the hundreds of millions of TikTok users will immediately discover Hive and hold Hive Tokens which can help promote the entire Blockchain.

However in this blog I wanted to talk about another strategy I believe will help grow the popularity of our Blockchain and its cryptocurrency.

I believe that if we encourage, support and better incentivize the projects on Hive like all DAPPs and Hive based P2E games like Wrestling Organization Online, Splinterlands and Holozing, we'll see a tremendous increase in the number of users on Hive, number of investors and also a rise in its crypto value.

Let me give a classic example, take this very community, WOO for example. Thanks to the WOOgame, lots of wrestling enthusiasts are discovering the Hive Blockchain.

We've even got some of the partners like Perry Saturn and Justin Credible having their own Hive accounts. This only means Hive has gotten legendary Wrestlers as users of the Blockchain. Now that's what I call value.

Also, more wrestling enthusiasts that discover Wrestling Organization Online and are interested in the game, its vision and the entire project will definitely discover Hive as well because they're all connected.

Let's take another DAPP like Ecency. Ecency is an entire platform on its own but also built on the Hive Blockchain as DAPP and a community. It's a pretty great platform and has so many features that helps make interacting on Hive much easier and more convenient.

The interesting thing was that I discovered Ecency on Google Play store before I even discovered Hive.

Although I didn't sign up at that time through Ecency because I had no idea about Blockchain and I used to be really skeptical about earning online but imagine if I signed up on Hive through Ecency. That would have meant, Ecency was the reason for discovering Hive.

You see guys, it's super necessary for us to keep supporting and encouraging a lot of these projects.

Splinterlands for example has probably brought in a lot of users on Hive than any Hive advert could have.

Back when Hive token value was as high as one HIVE to around 8 dollars, we could have solely advertised HIVE talking about the earning potential for content creators and curators but things are not the same anymore.

Although the potential for Hive to rise is there, we would need more strategies like promoting the other projects for Hive to become successful.

The games on Hive in particular should not be underestimated at all. Some guys say that they earn way more playing the P2E games like Splinterlands than they earn making posts.

I could really go on and on about the value of DAPPs. I also think that we should encourage the thread projects a lot.

We've got Dbuzz, Ecency waves and Leo threads. These threads let the users feel free and create low effort posts, share a brief information or even what's happening in their day.

Here's the facts about low effort posts, it's literally the bedrock of all social media platforms. We don't see guys making a 2000 words post on Instagram or Facebook do we?

Low effort posts are really what makes social media easier for most people that are not exactly lovers of content creation or even professional content creators.

You could wake up, fix yourself a cup of coffee and just share a photo with some few lines inside these threads. That's what brings the social media mood I think. Well it's just my opinion anyways guys, I stand to be corrected.

So the best thing is to encourage incentivizing the thread posts so more people can be comfortable to join the Hive Blockchain without worrying about making a 1000 words post.

Although I love writing and I usually have more that 500 words to write in each blog, I think to encourage more people, the threads concept really needs to be encouraged and incentivized more.

There are so many projects on Hive right now and each project has its own unique way of helping to onboard new Hivers or members.

There's the Hive Sucre adoption project where people in the state of Sucre can purchase real life items from the store and pay through HBDs. This makes payments very convenient and people who want that privilege have to have a Hive account so that's another way of onboarding.

There's also a skateboard community where people who love skating can post clips of their stunts. That project also has its way of onboarding new members to Hive.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that by promoting these projects and encouraging new ones that start, we will in turn promote the entire Hive Blockchain
