Hypertension-Ball back on full display!

I quite enjoyed writing my thoughts on the last Barcelona match live - writing it up as the match went by helped me add a lot more insight and emotion to the post, it was rather raw and I loved it. Which is why I am going to try doing it again tonight against Sevilla.

This match is already marred by quite a bit of controversy thanks to Real Madrid trying to force the Negreira case against us. There is ZERO proof, and all claims - all to tarnish the image of Barcelona. And all at such an opportune time - after Real madrid lost against Atleti and a few of their players are being accused of sexual harassment of a minor. Some way to divert the media attention away, Real Madrid keep finding new ways to disgust me. The most corrupt team in the history of football accusing another team of corruption, that too with zero proof is nothing short of hilarious.

I mean the blatant refereeing bias real madrid has received is absolutely insane and them complaining another team receiving help from referees is like Dudley Dursely! If you know, you know!

Anyways, enough words wasted on the most disgusting club in the galaxy.

Let's shift focus back to FC Barcelona and tonight's match.
The line up tonight surprised me quite a bit actually.

All the pages on twitter are saying it's a 4-3-3 lineup. But I think not! I think it will be more of a 4-2-1-3 with Lamine Yamal staying wide, Raphinha cutting inside and Joao Cancelo overlapping - we have a heavily overloaded right wing. I think we will see Gundogan lying a little deeper this game and play more part in the buildup with Frenkie de Jong absent through injury.

Other than that, nothing much to say really. Ferran torres will come on for lamine yamal in the second half to make a impact if needed. The rest, pretty straightforward.

Exactly an hour to go till kickoff!

Start!

Pretty sedated first 10-12 minutes.

The new setup doesn't really seem to be clicking for Barcelona, almost 20 minutes in and we have not really threatened much at all. Balde causing Sevilla some trouble down the left wing with his speed, but that's about it. Lamine yamal having a very quiet start, he is not getting the ball much.

Off the post, Joao Felix!

How has he missed that? Brilliant play from Cancelo creates the best chance of the game and Felix has the goal open in front him. How has he hit the post from there?

Danger averted by Ter Stegen.

GAVI! What a BLOCK!

We were surely going down there, thank goodness for Gavi eh!

Sevilla starting to threaten now, Ter stegen with a powerful save.

Great throughball from Cancelo, and Raphinha looks like he has pulled his hamstrings there. Big big blow for Barca here.

Fermin Lopez on for Raphinha.

OooF! What a ball from Lamine for fermin and what a receive and turn! Tame finish. We should have been up 2-0 already. And we head in to half-time 0-0.

Half-time.

Fermin Lopez looked quite composed. This is the first time we will get to have an extended look at Fermin's game. So far we've only seen 20-30 minute impact cameos, and he had been impactful to say the least. But how does he fare and what can he offer over longer periods? Today we find out.

"Real Madrid Referees Association" doing their thing, completely turning a blind eye to fouls on Barca. Disgrace.

Glimpses of hope, but nothing concrete. Frustration building now. Can we just be DONE with this hypertension-ball! Jeez. Sevilla starting to take a very compact defensive shape, seems like they'd be happy to settle for the draw.

Our corners have been so disappointing. We have had a lot in the second half, and nothing significant.

Ferran Torres on for Joao Felix. He's had a quiet game today. Let's hope the shark inspires something!

Heart seemed to stop for a second there, Rakitic almost gave sevilla the lead.

Own Goal! SERGIO RAMOS!

Inspired by the shark! Dangerous cross in from Ferran Torres to Lamine Yamal and had Ramos not stepped in, Fermin Lopez was open on goal. Ferran proves to be an impact sub again! But the important thing to note is how often Fermin Lopez is finding himself in the dangerous positions.

Defensive mistake from Barca. Sevilla wins a corner.

Ter stegen seems to be in a LOT of pain there. For fuck's sake! But of course, no card for sevilla as decided by "Real Madrid Referees Association."

Oriol Romeu on for Lamine Yamal.

Bittersweet decision. We need defensive solidity to see out this one goal lead, but I was also enjoying the attacking threat from Lamine yamal. And heavens forbid, if sevilla do equalize (and they look like they very well might), we are screwed! Lamine Yamal was the center of almost everything promising we did in the second half. And now that we are back to a 4 man midfield, we can be sure we are not going to produce any further chance for the remaining few minutes. We better be defensive as solid as we can get.

The sevilla players have been given the green light from the referees to break some barca players' legs - 100% they're now playing with an intent to kill some barca players. Of course they will have no murder case against them, the spanish court is busy with the fake negreira case real madrid manufactured!

Joules Kounde with a vital block, Sevilla almost equalized. Hypertension ball man, why can we not just be done with it!

At this point I'll just settle for a 1-0, the way we are missing key chances this game has been astounding. Winning by playing bad is better than losing (or drawing) by playing good!

Full Time! Barca 1-0 Sevilla.

Man, the referee looked so disappointed as he blew the final whistle 😂 He has failed his bosses, Real Madrid and Papa perez!
