I see Sunshine, don’t you?😇
Guys there’s a reason I always carry a rain coat in my backpack on my hikes….. and today was that reason!😅
It’s like rolling the dice with a forecast of rain in the Pacific Northwest Lol!🤣
Last Sunday our Pastor told us that they just hired a Youth Pastor from Sunny Colorado where it rains very little!😎
Then he told us our weather forecast for the next Month was rain EVERY day Lol!😅
Now I will let you in on a secret…….
Even with a rain forecast, it might sprinkle a little…….or it might not!😇
I looked out the window, as I was grabbing my backpack, and I saw beautiful sunshine through the trees!
“Guard the house Cot, Dad’s going hiking!”😻
As I started up the steep “High Trail” it started sprinkling………
The rain has almost melted the ice on the pond, the last remaining place where you could even believe we even had a cold snap!
By the time I reached Tim’s off grid cabin it was a torrential downpour!😅
I’ll just watch a Crypto YouTube video on Tim’s covered front porch, and wait this out Lol!😊
My 20 minute YouTube video was ending…… and it looked like the rain was coming down even harder!🙄
This isn’t good……….
I wrapped my iPhone in a Ziploc bag, and stuffed it in a pocket of my raincoat……..
(Even waterproof raincoats leak up here!)😮
By the time I made it back home my blue jeans were completely soaked!😅
I hurried inside, and started a fire in the wood stove to help me dry off………
That’s when the sky turned brilliant orange outside, and the clouds started moving extremely fast!😳

Growing up in the Midwest, you learn what is potentially coming next…………
Although Extremely rare and unlikely, in the Midwest you would be running for the safety of a basement………….
This is how the sky looks just before a tornado strikes!😮
The glowing orange sky soon disappeared!
We can all be thankful that the weather in the Northwest reacts quite a bit differently, probably because of the Cascade Mountains ………
“Cot, move over son, Dad needs to stand a little closer to the wood stove, I’m wet!”😻
“Cot aren’t you glad we have a nice warm wood stove, and plenty of firewood ….. Dad sure is!”😇
