Before Silvertop could enjoy a somewhat Sunny day hiking in the Mountains, I needed to put on my “mechanic” hat Lol!😇
It was time to tune up the Mrs Suzuki……..
Times have certainly changed, and “tuning” up a car now days has been reduced to changing the spark plugs, and maybe an air filter!😊
They tell you to replace these iridium spark plugs at 60,000 miles……..
I was shocked to see the center electrodes were almost completely gone at only 50,000 miles!😳
“Liz, the Suzuki is a “Hemi”!🤗
This is the slang term for “ hemispherical head”!😊
Chrysler made this type of engine popular in the 70s.
It soon became the number one top choice, for the most powerful nitro burning top fuel drag race engines ever designed!😊
Just look at the second photo……….
Instead of being on the “Outside” of the engine, these spark plugs are located DEEP inside the engine!😳
See that long extension on my spark plugs socket? That’s what is needed to reach down deep into that hole to unscrew the plug!🙄
The end of the socket, has a rubber seal that “grabs” the plug once you completely unscrew it!😊
Silvertop was once a drag racer, and Liz and I have pulled and replaced motors together many, many, years ago!🥰
Today replacing plugs is more than enough for me Lol!🤣😇
“Thanks Silvertop, my treat to a Latte at Starbucks for replacing my spark plugs!”🥰
On the way home, we could see new snow covering the Canadian Mountains…..

You are looking North, this is the Fraser River Canyon!
This natural gap in the mountains creates a vortex of intense cold wind, blasting down the canyon from Canada!🥶
So far…… this winter has been limited to the snow capped Mountains at higher elevations!😇
“ That’s fine with me Liz, we can always drive your Suzuki “to” the snow Lol!”😇
