Fall is in the air……at least for today!😊
Silvertop, climbed up on the roof, chimney brushes in hand. It was time to sweep the chimney!😅
In the Pacific Northwest, professional chimney sweeps can charge up to $375 to clean a chimney in good condition!🙄

My furry child just stared at the wood stove…………..
He looked so disappointed that Dad wasn’t lighting a fire today!
More Sat’ couldn’t compare to a toasty warm fire!😺
“ Let’s not rush things Cot, soon lighting a daily fire, will be similar to taking Phoenix out for her morning walks!😊
Two more days, and our son will drive up here, and scoop Phoenix up and drive away…….😳
Almost three weeks, how did the time fly so fast!…………..
Silvertop finished up with the wood stove, and snapped the leash on Phoenix’s collar.
Down the North Mountain pass we walked…..
I discovered she won’t hike up our road to the trailhead. Instead she makes a bee line for the mountain pass every day!
They say dogs are smart, and Phoenix watched as our son Bill drove away down the Mountain pass.
I’m starting to wonder if she believes Bill is waiting somewhere down the Mountain pass for her!😍
If she had her way, she would pull me down the pass for several miles!😅
Yesterday Liz was in her car driving home and stopped next to the two of hiking the pass.
Phoenix start pulling hard to get in Liz’s car! It was as if she hadn’t seen Liz in years!
Bill calls this separation anxiety, Phoenix was a last chance rescue dog!😍
After several miles, we stopped.
“Phoenix, let’s go home girl!”
Finally back home, she curled up on the couch and quickly drifted off to sleep.
“ We are really going to miss this little girl Liz!”🥰
