One More For The Road! 😊 My Actifit Report Card: June 5 2024

One more for the road!☺️
“ Silvertop, do you see that! “ 😍
Today marks two days since Liz and Silvertop did our “Road hike”…………..
Back on Monday, as we hiked along the Mountain pass, I glanced down to see what the Mrs had just spotted………………
Hmmm….. “ I see Nothing honey Lol “😇
The last time the Mrs spotted something on the pass, it was our “Baby Mountain Lion”! 😻
“ Silvertop, it’s a baby Canadian Hemlock tree, somehow the “Mower Man” missed him! “ 😳
Summer projects were stacking up back home, because of our unusually wet spring!😅
Baby tree planting season had come and gone for this year.
“ I guess if this tree is still standing next year Silvertop , if the mower man misses him, you should come back and dig him up honey! “ 🥰
Silvertop had his dark sunglasses on, watching the road in front of us……we continued hiking………
I mentally measured the distance from the pavement to this seeding…….
Nope….. that’s not good.
I really don’t know how this small tree was spared from being mowed down!🙄
I added “Dig baby tree” to my chore list.
Carrying a large bucket, and my favorite 81 year old Army shovel, Silvertop hiked down the Mountain pass this afternoon.
The occasional neighbor, and then Dan our UPS delivery driver, slowed down and waved at Silvertop, with a perplex look on their faces.🤔
On a busy Mountain pass, two things were important today………….
One…. That I don’t get run over! 😳
Two…. That Silvertop finishes before the whole neighborhood drives by Lol!😇
This tree was rooted in a mixture of dirt, and road gravel. I quickly scooped up an intact root ball. That’s excellent, it will help prevent transplant shock!👍
I started hiking the return trip home…..
More neighbors waved as they passed by………☺️
I can hear them now………..
“ Ohhh that’s just Silvertop, he does this all the time! “ 😇
“ Honey, are we finished planting trees now? “ 🥰
