“ You better check again Silvertop, it’s going to rain all day! “ 🥰
That’s not good, today is the day I pick up my last nineteen Shore Pine seedlings!😮
Liz turned on the windshield wipers, as the rain continued, and we drove to town……
This last lot of Pine trees were delayed a Month because the field they were planted in was too wet to dig.
Sounds like today honey!😅
The Lady handed me the trees and said……………
“ Perfect weather Silvertop, for planting trees! “🤗
Hmmm………………🤔😅
Planting in the rain, wearing a raincoat, didn’t sound like much fun ……….🙄
Only nineteen Pine trees, I’ll put them in the “Tree nursery”, and then on another day, when the weather is better, Silvertop will replant!😇
I was hoping for taller trees, but when I unwrapped them from the wet newspaper, I was pleasantly surprised at the root system on these trees!
They are extremely healthy trees!
Shore Pines do very well in the Pacific Northwest!🤗
They remind me of a shorter ponderosa pine tree, and and can grow 40 to 50 feet tall.
This planting and harvesting cycle continues across the Northwest.

These are newly delivered logs at the Great Western Lumber mill.
On one hand, it’s a shame they cut down these very large trees……….
Then Silvertop stops at our local Home Depot and loads up lumber for my shed I am building.
Silvertop wasn’t alone planting in the rain today!😅
Hundreds of other people were also outside in the rain replanting trees!
These pine trees, will grow 18 to 24 inches each year, our “Liquid Sunshine” will help produce tall new forests!😊
The Home Depot garden center was busy as well today…………..

As I planted the very last Pine tree, the rain stopped Lol!☺️
Well at least Silvertop wasn’t alone, I hope all my fellow tree planters had rain coats Lol!😅

Haha, I am visualising you Silver Mike all wet and muddy while planting these cute shore pine seedlings.... then after your done the rain stopped too, I guess the heavens were teasing and testing you at the same time!! Let's see how determined you are to have your own pine forest soon, the heavens love pure honest hard work so your farm will always be blessed with good harvest in the coming years.
Ahhh! I bet the scent of these trees are so divine.
I wonder why they are called shore Pines? In my place pine trees Don't grow because of the humidity I guess but in the Highlands just like where my son is studying now they have them in abundance. Do they just grown on their own or they need to be planted because I have seen a lot of them growing in abundance up the mountains where there were no people living and on the steep, sheer cliffs they still grow for I cannot imagine people would plant them there. Just my observation which just makes me so curious that's why I had to ask you for I think you are a pro when it comes to this kind of tree.

Shore pines can be found along the Ocean shore naturally on their own.
The mountains have a mixture of Pines and Western Red Cedar trees hundreds of years old!
Wow! So that's how they got their name.
Going to these mountains full of Pines and cedar would be such an honor, imagine surrounded by towering great trees that have surpassed time older than so many of my ancestors!! Wow! I guess i will camp up there for a week! Enjoy the peace it brings😍😍
