The “ Buzz “ has started……..
It’s almost Spring planting season!🤗
Springtime, “ the time of year when a young man’s fancy” turns to planting Pine trees in the forest Lol!😇
Along the roads leading to town, signs have started popping up for several of our local tree seedling sales!
Liz has already put in a “Pre order” for Silvertop!🥰
Several years ago, one of the “Tree sales” was first come first served here in town.
People would start lining up an hour before they opened up!
It reminded me of the “Who” rock band disaster on Dec 3 1979 at the Cincinnati riverfront Coliseum. Only general seating tickets were sold, and it resulted in a “rush” for the best seats!😳
Eleven people died, in the “stampede”!🙄
After this, all events were “ Reserved seats only “……………………….
All local “ tree sales “are now preordered only!😇
Westergreen our local logger, planted the Western Red Cedar seedlings that you see in the first couple of photos last Spring.
The next few photos give you a glimpse of what these trees look like in about seven years!😊
It’s really amazing how quickly these trees grow!
Even with last Summer’s drought, I am seeing new growth of 14- 16 inches!😳
After a few more years it becomes more difficult to tell where the “Old” forest ends, and the “New” forest begins!😊
That’s actually a very good sign………

Yes, seven years is no time at all... I've been living here almost seven years, and it felt like I just moved yesterday!

That's great, new trees for the forest. Such a shame that eleven people were killed over tickets, reserved seating is a far better system!

I recall a friend of mine years back was paid tree planter in the summers up in the interior of BC, he just loved the out doors.
I think it’s a very relaxing lifestyle/occupation!😊
Probably not the highest earnings but I’m sure they are much more at peace than many careers with less stress😇
