SOMEONE'S HAPPY! 🤗............................... Actifit Report Card: November 13 2023

Someone’s happy!😀
It looked like a war zone out at our street, but the road was open!🤗
Cut logs, and large branches were scattered everywhere!😮
Silvertop hadn’t even finished pulling his two espresso shots for his morning latte, when he heard the sound of heavy machinery outside!😮
“ Liz, I’ll make my @actifit comments later, I’m going to split that large round out in the street, before they grind it into mulch!😇
“ I hope our neighbor Chris doesn’t have “dibs” on firewood!”🤔
Silvertop has learned that when a tree falls, you need to be quick, if you want free firewood Lol!😀
Chris, one of my close neighbors, is usually very “fast on the draw” to nab any and ALL firewood!😮
Silvertop turned Chris onto a do it yourself mini-split heat pump last year, and I was hoping he was not on the “Hunt” for firewood Lol!😇
I left my latte in my garage, and very quickly hurried out to split that prized firewood round!
Silvertop was met with a cleanup crew, feeding very large logs into a very dangerous looking, and sounding mulching machine!😬
“ Hi guys, I was wondering if you could let me split that large round over there?”
“ Sure Silvertop, it’s too large for the grinder anyway!”
Surrounded by a half a dozen Men with chainsaws, Silvertop walked up to this round, with my top of the line Fiskars X-27 splitting ax!😀
Have you ever read the story of “ Mighty Casey” the legendary baseball player?
Silvertop gripped his powerful ax, lifted it up and slammed a powerful blow to the log!
My ax bounced!😳
Again with a crew of Men one third my age watching, I let another blow hit the log!
Not a tiny split…………..😬
“ Guys this isn’t happening for Silvertop, if anyone else wants this log they can have it!”😇
“ Silvertop it’s too large for our chipper, we will come back with a dump truck another day!”
They have a saying……
“Work smarter, not harder!”
Silvertop has learned this lesson well!😇
“Silvertop will pass on this log guys!”
Our friend Jan was joining us for today’s hike, and it was a good time to put up my ax, and grab my backpack!🤗
On the return hike home we passed my friend David that lives in the tiny house…..
“ Silvertop did you see that large firewood round, I tried to flip it on its side and couldn’t even budge it!”🙄
Yep…… I had my try at it this morning my friend Lol!😇
Closer to home I could hear a tractor…….
Another neighbor Jamie, had his three young boys out helping him push this same round into the bucket of the tractor!
“ Well at least it found a good home Lol!”🤣
“ Liz we have enough firewood anyway….!”🥰
